Horoscopes vs Ladies
In Opinion, Personal on October 5, 2005 at 6:52 amEvery morning in the bus I and my friends mostly read our daily horoscopes in the newspapers; there are two free newspapers which we can take in the bus named Spits and Metro and therefore we oftenly compare our horoscopes from one newspaper to another. We laugh after reading and imagine about what will happen on the day. I don’t know why we do that while all of us also said we don’t believe in it but later after work if we get the similar happening as what our horoscopes told we think differently as,”woah! That’s why my horoscope told me this and that” or “ow! This might be what the horoscope meant to tell me.” Everyone mostly say that they read horoscopes for fun and don’t believe anything written in it but IMHO, your interest becomes bigger from the small thing you do, as for the example: reading horoscope for fun. Then you read it every morning, then you compare the horoscopes in two or more newspapers, someone is involved in something from the small thing s/he does till it becomes his/her daily routinity. Later in the end of the week, reading newspaper every morning becomes our daily routinity which we probably don’t even realise it, IMHO only, because I think that someone can be dependant on his/her daily horoscope if s/he frequently keeps thinking about what happen daily and keeps thinking about what the horoscope told whether it’s true or not, etc.
Horoscopes are made by people, they are unpredictable, what it tell in one newspaper aren’t the same as what it tell in another newspaper, nobody knows what will happen in a day if we don’t pass it yet, how can people tell us about what will happen to us on that day? Okay. I know that all of you will say,”I really don’t believe in horoscope, it’s just bullshit!” I know. But still, there are people who believe in it. I and my friends are already involved in reading horoscopes every morning before work, we laugh after readng and say we don’t believe in it but we still ask ourselves like,”really? Shall I get a good day at work?!?” or just another questions. This is the most fact from most girls: we will say we don’t believe in horoscope when it tells about something which doesn’t sound good for us but we will smile and think whether it’s true or not, what kind of good surprises we will get when our horoscopes tell about something that sound good for us. IMHO only, this is just what I’ve seen from the people around me (mostly girls, of course) when it comes about reading horoscopes. And I don’t know why chicklit story which tells about thirty something lady mostly involves horoscopes in the story, maybe it’s because horoscopes are mostly read by females so …. is reading horoscopes already a habit of females?!? LOL
